Well, the bags under my eyes now have bags of their own. But the good news is, Nirali is live! Check it out and share your thoughts.
Though Google does have my heart, I want to marry WordPress and have its babies, too. I just can’t be faithful to one Internet technology.
In other news, the bags under my eyes have taken up permanent residence, unpacked and are lounging around like they own the place. It’s been a long week. But launch on Friday, so it’s worth it. I just have to keep telling myself that.
Er, I’m not sure if I spelled that correctly, but you know what I mean.
How much do I love Google and everything that it produces? It’s crunch time around here, since Nirali re-launches in less than two weeks and there is so much to be done. That, however, didn’t stop me from agonizing over the crappy SquirrelMail system that we used for Nirali email. It took about five years to log in, read or delete messages. Frustrated, I sent off a brief application last night to Gmail requesting that they set up Nirali Magazine as a beta tester for Gmail for Your Domain. Less than 10 hours later, they hooked us up. Now, our Nirali email is hosted by Google and consequently takes advantage of all the delights Gmail has to offer. Oh, the joy.
If I could have babies with technology, it would be Google. Who needs a man?
If so, please consider getting on the National Bone Marrow Registry. See our full post about this at the Nirali Magazine Weblog.
And if you’re not brown, but are some other minority, it’s vital that you help out, as well.
No more Blogger for the text obscured! I have officially moved over to WordPress, with the help of Nirali Magazine’s wonderful code monkey (kidding!) Arun, who works wonders with all things tech. This theme is just a generic one from WordPress—no time to design a lovely new site right now. We’re re-launching Nirali on September 1, and I’m hoping that sometime after that I can beg Priya (aka the best designer ever) to make this place look pretty.
Now that things look different, though, I plan to (once again) post more regularly. Oh yeah, and did I mention I got a job? Life is good.
